User Guide & Documentation
Installation
This extension can be installed in a few minutes, by going through the following steps:
- Download/purchase the extension
- Unzip the file in a temporary directory
- Copy folder "app" and paste it in your Magento installation root directory. This extension will NOT replace existing code.
- Go to your admin panel and clear cache. Hit refresh on any of your Magento pages and you're done.
Configuration
Disqus configuration the following steps
- a) Register in Disqus and create an application to obtain API key, API Security and API Access Token
- b) Configure and enable the extension in your store
Creating a new Disqus account
To create a new account at Disqus go to Sign up for new account and follow the registration instructions
Obtaining an API Key, API Secret
To obtain a new API key you need to create an application in Disqus.
- 1) Go to API - Disqus and login using your Disqus registration
- 2) Click "Applications"
- 3) Click "Register new application"
- 4) Enter application name e.g "My store Disqus comments"
- 5) Enter application description
- 6) Enter your organisation name
- 7) Enter your website
- 8) Click "Register my application"
Once application is registered you'll be able to see the secret and public keys in the application listing
Obtaining API Token
To obtain API token, click on any of your Disqus applications and find your access token. Usually it's located in the bottom of the page.
