Default shipping method is assigned via dropdown selection in customer's edit screen in the backend interface.

Installation
This extension can be installed in a few minutes, by going through the following steps:
- Download/purchase the extension
- Unzip the file in a temporary directory
- Copy folder "app" and paste it in your Magento installation root directory. This extension will NOT replace existing code.
- Go to your admin panel and clear cache. Hit refresh on any of your Magento pages and you're done.
How to use the extension
Once installed, the extension will add a new field in customer's edit screen called "Default shipping method". This dropdown features all enabled shipping methods from your store.
To set a default shipping method for particular customer, simply choose the desired one from the customer's edit screen and save details.
On checkout page, the default shipping method will be automatically selected.
