Magento Affiliate Site Aggregator Extension for Etsy

Overview

This is the first if it's kind extension for Magento that will transform any Magento installation into powerful affiliate site aggregator. It will collect, import and sync Etsy products in any Magento store thus allowing store owner to gain a commision by referring customers to Etsy from his/her own store.

The idea & How it works

There are virtually hundreds of ways to make money from the Internet, but make no mistake, there isn't an easy way to do it. With so many affiliate programmes to choose from, it could be a real challange to pick the right one and actually make profit from it. Etsy is a marketplace where people around the world connect, both online and offline, to make, sell and buy unique goods. Etsy’s Affiliates can earn commissions (a percentage of revenue) on qualifying sales that result from featuring links to Etsy products and other Etsy content on the 3rd party site. As an Etsy affiliate you can help in selling others' products and make a good profit for yourself.

The affiliate programme is simple, it works by appending your own unique affiliate id to each link and if a purchase is made on Etsy after user clicking a link with your affiliate id, you will be given a commision from the revenue. The more products you refer, the higher chance of converting those to purchase and personal benefit.

Referring products

Picking products to refer is done in your Magento admin module. The extension allows for browsing and searching Etsy listings directly in Magento. See Fig. 1

New attribute set with Etsy specific attributes

The extension creates a new attribute set with Etsy specific attributes. This special set allows for store owners to keep selling their own products and refer Etsy products on the same store.

The extension automatically extends the layered navigation by adding Etsy specific attributes. This allow for customers to search Etsy products by price, occasion, etsy seller, purpose and make.
