Overview
Custom Stock Status for Magento 2 allows for extending the default stock status message in Magento and adding new custom stock status messages. By default, Magento shows either "In Stock" or "Out of Stock". The extension allows for creating additional stock status messages such as "Available in 1 week" or "Less than 5 remaining"
Except for enabling custom stock status messages, the extension allows for automatic custom stock status based on predefined quantity thresholds. If product quantity is between predefined values, a corresponding stock message appears.

Custom Stock Status
The module allows for showing custom stock status message on both product detail page and catgeory pages as well. Fig. 1 below shows the status on product detail page and Fig. 2 shows the status shown in standard category page

User Guide & Documentation
Installation from Command Line (Recommended)
This extension can be installed in a few minutes, by going through the following steps:
- Download/purchase the extension
- Unzip the file in a temporary directory
- Copy directory contents and paste it in your Magento installation root directory. This extension will NOT replace existing code.
- Disable the cache under System->Cache Management
- Enter the following at the command line:
php -f bin/magento module:enable --clear-static-content Anowave_Package
php -f bin/magento module:enable --clear-static-content Anowave_Status
php -f bin/magento setup:upgrade
- Check under Stores->Configuration->Advanced->Advanced that the module is present.
Manual installation
- Download/purchase the extension

- Disable the cache under System->Cache Management
- Edit app/etc/config.php file and add two new elements:
"Anowave_Package" => 1,
"Anowave_Status" => 1
- Disable the cache under System->Cache Management
- Check under Stores->Configuration->Advanced->Advanced that the module is present.
Configuration
To enable extension go to Stores -> Configuration -> Anowave Extensions -> Custom Stock Status
Follow the instructions on the screen to configure your extension.
Custom Stock Status Configuration
To create a custom stock status attribute follow the steps below:
- 1) Go to Stores -> Attributes -> Product
- 2) Add new attribute and set it's type to "Custom status"
- 3) Enter desired list of custom statuses
- 4) Click "Save and Continue"
- 5) Once attribute is saved a new tab will appear left handside to allow for quantity threshold definitions
- 6) Fill desired automatic status messages based on quantity thresholds (if needed)
- 7) Save attribute
- 8) Go to Stores -> Attributes -> Attribute Set
- 9) Select set
- 10) Add newly added attribute to set
- 11) Go to Products -> Catalog and edit any if your existing products by setting it's custom status.
