This extension is an add-on to our popular extension Magento 2 Google Tag Manager Enhanced Ecommerce (UA) Tracking enabling checkout steps/option tracking for Onestepcheckout extension for Magento by Swissup / Firecheckout
This extension adds extra support for Firecheckout by Swissup by allowing our Google Tag Manager Enhanced Ecommerce extension to track user activity at checkout screen. It sends payment and/or shipping options to Google and tracks user behaviour at checkout page.
Overview
This extension is designed for customers running both Onestepcheckout extension for Magento 2 and our Magento 2 Google Tag Manager Enhanced Ecommerce (UA) Tracking. It enhances the GTM tracking extension by enabling it to track checkout steps and/or options for Onestepcheckout to overcome the problems caused by the merged checkout steps.
Once installed, the extension will fire 3 checkout steps and it will also attempt to track checkout options such as selected payment and/or shipping method. The following steps are fired:
Step 1 - Start checkout / Shipping address
Step 2 - Shipping method
Step 3 - Payment methods
Step 4 - Place order
Step options will be attributed to each step automatically upon user selection.

This module is NOT required if you are using standard Magento 2 checkout and should be purchased only if you using 3rd party checkout module such as Firecheckout by Swissup

User Guide & Documentation
Installation from Command Line (Recommended)
This extension can be installed in a few minutes, by going through the following sateps:
- Download/purchase the extension
- Unzip the file in a temporary directory
- Copy directory contents and paste it in your Magento installation root directory. This extension will NOT replace existing code.
- Disable the cache under System->Cache Management
- Enter the following at the command line:
php -f bin/magento module:enable --clear-static-content Anowave_Ecoahwks
php -f bin/magento setup:upgrade
- Check under Stores->Configuration->Advanced->Advanced that the module is present.
Upgrading database
If you need to upgrade the database, run the following command line:
php -f bin/magento setup:db-schema:upgrade
Funnel Configuration (Google Analytics)
Once module is installed, go to Google Analytics -> Admin -> E-Commerce Settings -> Checkout labeling and add the following steps (as described above and below)
Cart
Shipping address
Shipping method
Payment method
Place order
These should be inserted in order of appearance because position matters. Otherwise Checkout behaviour report may contain wrong data.
