Extra fee for Magento 2 is super-flexible extension that allows you to apply custom fees in your Magento 2 store. It comes with a ton of options and can cover almost any scenario.
Fees can be percentage % based, fixed amount or amount, they can be calculated per product, can be re-calculated based on quantity and/or applied based on specific condition or even for products with specific attribute.
Extra fees are displayed in checkout, success page, transactional emails, invoices, credit memos etc.
Multiple fees supported
You can create multiple fees and apply them for any order and/or any conditions. Extra fees can also be applied for specific customer groups, for logged or non-logged customers.
Extra fees can also stack up.
Flexible conditions support
The extension can be used with native Magento 2 conditions and rules if needs be. You can apply any set of rules and conditions combinations in order to create flexible extra fees for your customers.
We have included some custom conditions such as Payment method that typically do not exist in vanilla Magento 2. This allows for greater options and flexibility.
Overview
This extension for Magento 2 simplifies the process of adding a new custom extra fee for each order. It allows you to charge customer a fixed extra fee at checkout. It also supports fee based on percentage from order grand total and complex fee calculated per order item individually. You can apply different fee for different products in customer's cart.

By using a flexible conditions configurator, you can adjust under what conditions the extra fee will apply. See Fig. 1
Complex fee types
The module supports number of complex fee types and gives a wide range of fee options. They include:
Fixed fee,% of order subtotal
% of item subtotal (applicable for calculation per product only)
Fixed amount of item subtotal (applicable for calculation per product only)
Fixed amount from category fee (applicable for calculation per product only)
% amount from category fee (applicable for calculation per product only)
Once (fixed amount) per set of products within the same category
Once (% amount) per accumulative single item price from products within the category
Once (% amount) per accumulative subtotal from products within the category

Category fee
The module provides the ability to set fee per category. This allows site owner to effectively apply specific fee for group of products that fall into the same conditions. Still, product specific fees can be applied.

User Guide & Documentation
Installation from Command Line (Recommended)
This extension can be installed in a few minutes, by going through the following steps:
- Download/purchase the extension
- Unzip the file in a temporary directory
- Copy directory contents and paste it in your Magento installation root directory. This extension will NOT replace existing code.
- Disable the cache under System->Cache Management
- Enter the following at the command line:
php -f bin/magento module:enable --clear-static-content Anowave_Package
php -f bin/magento module:enable --clear-static-content Anowave_Fee
php -f bin/magento setup:upgrade
- Check under Stores->Configuration->Advanced->Advanced that the module is present.
Manual installation
- Download/purchase the extension

- Edit app/etc/config.php file and add two new elements:

Setting global fixed fee
To set a global fixed fee for the order follow the steps below:
- 1. Go to Stores -> Configuration -> Anowave Extensions -> Extra fee
- 2. Enter fee name
- 3. Enter fee amount
- 4. Set fee type to "Fixed"
Setting global percentage fee
To set a global fee for the order calculated from the order grand total follow the steps below:
- 1. Go to Stores -> Configuration -> Anowave Extensions -> Extra fee
- 2. Enter fee name
- 3. Enter fee amount
- 4. Set fee type to "Percentage of order grand total"
Setting fixed fee per product
To set a global fee for the order calculated from the order grand total follow the steps below:
- 1. Go to Stores -> Attributes -> Product
- 2. Create a new attribute called e.g. "fee". Type should be text
- 3. Go to Stores -> Attributes -> Attribute set and assign the newly created attribute to your attribute sets
- 4. Go to Stores -> Configuration -> Anowave Extensions -> Extra fee
- 5. Enter fee name
- 6. Leave fee amount empty
- 7. Set fee type to "Fixed amount of item subtotal"
- 8. Set "Calculate per product" to "Yes"
- 9. Set "Use attribute for fee" to "fee" e.g. the newly created fee attribute
- 10. Go to Products -> Catalog and edit any of your products
- 11. Enter fee amount.
- 12. Save product.
